Valencia Airport closes May above one million passengers and marks another historic month

Valencia Airport closed May with 1,053,602 registered passengers, setting a new record by surpassing one million travellers for the first time in its history in a month of May. This figure also represents a 7.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

International traffic grew by 10.4% in May, reaching a total of 786,885 travellers. Meanwhile, the domestic market recorded 265,411 passengers, down 0.9%. All figures refer to commercial flights compared to the same period last year.

Looking at the main origins and destinations of international passengers recorded in May, the largest group came from/to Italy, with 163,858 travellers; followed by Germany with 89,658; France with 88,334; the Netherlands with 84,083; and the United Kingdom with 82,621.

In addition, Valencia Airport handled a total of 8,334 flights during May, representing a 5% increase compared to landings and take-offs in the same period last year.

Data for the first five months of the year

Valencia Airport recorded a total of 4,526,233 passengers during the first five months of the year, an increase of 11.6% compared to the same period last year. As for flights, 36,502 movements were operated in these months, 10.2% more.
